In the society nothing makes you responsible than marriage.

This reminds me when I was in the Bible college, one of our school mates approached me for us to go out the college to rent a house. And when went and saw a room to let in the front of a compound. We went and asked after the landlord and he came out and I told him that we came to the room to let. He asked me, are you married? I replied no! He said he do not give his house to unresponsible singles. We asked why you don’t give your house to singles? He replied that he gives his house to married man with wife and children. That’s the responsible he wants in his house. He said that singles are not responsible as a result they live anyhow life. And can ran away after expiration of the rent because no wife and no children. He said further that singles will be bringing in the house all kinds singles of different faces of which some may criminals and touts. That may be disturbing the responsible People living in the compound. He said that it’s very hard for a married man or woman do that because before he does anything he would first think of his wife and children in the house. A married man and woman do not take risky that would jeopardize their family in future. A single who is not responsible lives like a street girl, who sleeps from one hotel to another because she doesn’t has property to carry about but just a single bag as he is.
You know as youth in the Bible college I never heard such before and I and my school mate. Went to four or five places that was the only answer they gave to us, that we are not responsible individuals because we are unmarried in the society. The last landlord we met told us vividly that no house owner would like to give his house to single men and women who are not responsible in life.
For my first time in life to know and understand the word RESPONSIBLE better that marriage is to be responsible to yourself, your partner, children, to the community you live in. And the entire nation you found yourself.
That’s as soon as you get married you become responsible, reasonable the MARRIAGE added more value to your life and personality especially in your environments. No more childish talks or acts or behaviors or reasonings . And anywhere your presence appears you are going to be addressed as Mr and Mrs. A man who has wife that cannot misbehave in the society anymore. Previously if you are known with ugly characters you will quickly quit from it. A drunkard quit drinking simply because the wife told him that any day he goes out and drink and come back to the house, she will divorce him and never return back to him. From that moment the husband stopped drinking till death do them apart.
In the community there are some acts you will perform, the married people there will ask, is this fellow married? If you replied no! They will say no wonder he behaved that way because no married person will do that.
There is also the manner you will maltreat some one’s child. And married man would asked, is this person not married with children? If you replied no! He would say no wonder he beat that child that way.
There are some characters you will exhibit in the society married people will ask this fellow is he not with a wife at home? If you say no! They will say no wonder Man with wife cannot do that.
MARRIAGE differentiates you from children and unresponsible singles in the community.
