In the service or worship of God Temptation or trial of faith or chastisements of God is inevitable and unavoidable. It’s a must, He must surely test you, to know whether you are still with Him or not.

He told them to pray to God to lead them not into temptation and deliver them from evil, Mt 6:13. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
God said that He only chastises those He love, which means if He did not chastises you in anyway or form, He don’t love you at all , as a result, you are not his child
Because Jesus knew very well that temptation must come to them, whether they like it or not. And himself was tested with the devil, Mt 4:1-10.Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an
hungred. And when the tempter came to him, he said, If you be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeded out of the mouth of God. Then the devil taken him up into the holy city, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple. And said to him, If you be the Son of God, cast yourself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear you up, so that you not dash your foot against a stone. Jesus said unto him, It is written
again, You shall not tempt the Lord your God. Again, the devil taken him up into an exceeding high mountain, and shewed him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them. And said to him, All these things will I give you, if you will fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus to him, Get you hence, Satan: for it is written, You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve.
Jesus Temptations
According to the above Matthew chapter four above. Jesus defeated the devil through quoting the scriptures, the book of Law because he was in the spirit.
Mt 4:1, Then was Jesus led up of the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
In the beginning of Jesus, he was led by the spirit to go and pray and fast in the wilderness. He didn’t lead himself rather by the spirit of God. That means he was in the spirit right from the beginning till the end of his prayers in the bush. And which made him to knew the move and tactics of the devil.
1, Jesus Wanted To Turn The Power In Him To Bread Productions
And when the devil red his mind and saw it. Verse 3, … Devil said if you be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. And verse 4, Jesus said to him Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeded out of the mouth of God.
2, Jesus Wanted To Commit Suicide When He Saw The Heavy Side Of It
And when devil saw it and wanted Jesus to actualize it. Verse 6,… If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down, for it’s written, he shall give his angels charge concerning thee, and their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
Jesus observed him and said, verse 7 It is written again You shall not tempt the Lord your God.
Note, as Human beings, creatures of God you have no power nor right by His Law to tempt your Creator, but He has the power and right to tempt or try you, or chastise everyone on earth.
3, Jesus Saw The Glory Of The Power Of God In Him And Wanted To Take It To Himself.
And when the devil saw what was in mind of Jesus, he said, verse 9, … All these things will I give you, if you Will fall down and worship me.
Satan claimed that the world belonged to him and Jesus was angry over it.
Verse 10, JESUS angrily said, Get you hence, Satan, for it’s written You shall worship the Lord your God and HIM only shall you serve.
During the trials of the devil God was at present watching His Son, Jesus and the devil. And given him spirit of boldness to conquer the devil. And as soon as Jesus defeated him He sent his angels to minister to him in verse 11, … And behold, angels came and Ministered to him.
So when God is tempting you in order to know whether you are still in faith with him, He is right there with His angels to assist you. Either to answer questions or keep quiet or escape or rescue you from untimely death or injury. Hoever, in the same manner satan saw what was in mind of Jesus and tempted him, that is how it is from that period to today, he monitor people in order to tempt them and destroy them through their various heart desires. That is the reason you must be prayerful always.
God Intentionally Tempt People
Chastisements Of God
As I said earlier that chastisements of God is a must. And he intentionally test or try someone he loves.
Deut. 8’5, You shall also consider in your heart, that as a man chastened his son, so the Lord your God chastened you.
Verses 2 and 3 earlier said that, And you shall remember all the way which the Lord your God led you these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and to prove you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments or not.
And he humbled you and suffered you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you knew not, neither did your fathers know, that man do not live by bread only, but by every word that proceeded out of the mouth of Lord do Man live.
God intentionally allowed the people of Israel to go hungry and later made a way of escape for them by given them manna from heaven.
You cannot follow God without him tempting you from time to time.
King David Testified It
Ps.118:18, The Lord had chastened me sore , but he had not given me over unto death.
God Pity You As He Chastises You
Ps. 103:13, Like as a father pitied his children, so the Lord pitied them that fear him.
God is not chastising you to kill nor disfigure you but to build your faith more in him and promote you, according to your heart desires. Read the Bible again you will see that no promotion without test. Just as it’s in the school, no promotion to a higher class without exam or test.
IF you are following God every problem you see on your way, see it as God’s chastisements not devil neither human being.
King Solomon was tested with women and he failed, Adam was tested with fruit and he failed. David was tested with a woman and he failed. King Saul was tested with the best animals and he failed. Judas Iscariot was tested with money and he failed. It’s your own turn to be tested by God. I pray for you, May God help you and deliver you in the day of your temptation in Jesus name Amen.
